The 5th season of Accedia Innovation Development Center has come to its end. At a live event this week, the teams showed a demo of their applications and gave the implemented features a test run.
Traditionally, IDC rewards projects according to their accomplished project scope, innovation, and usability. In this season, ideas were additionally credited for their role in addressing present societal challenges.
IDC season 5 embraced innovative web and mobile solutions supporting different communities – people with reduced mobility, aspiring junior developers looking to kickstart their career, volunteers helping stray animals in danger, and others. Inspired by the mission to help society, the teams devoted their free time and advanced their expertise in cloud services, serverless computing, and IoT.
Following the season’s end, teams will continue to upgrade and maintain the developed solutions. As a next step, they will reach out to nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and animal rescue circles. The idea is to help these communities with user-friendly platforms that they can manage and use as seem fit.
