We have been ranked as one of the 2026 Top 30 Inspiring Workplaces in Europe, by the global organisation dedicated to recognising and setting the standard for PeopleFirst culture since 2015. We are the first Bulgarian company to ever be ranked throughout the IW awards history.
The Inspiring Workplaces Awards evaluate organisations against six pillars: culture and purpose, leadership, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, employee experience, and communications. Accedia's award submission drew several key points such as onboarding satisfaction of 4.86/5 and a 91% satisfaction of the hybrid model working environment.
In terms of growth opportunities, 80% of our leadership roles at Accedia are filled internally, supported by structured career development plans for 100% of the Engineering team. Inclusion is evidenced by results such as close to 40% women in leadership, and a 40% of new team members coming from outside Sofia, which is a structured consequence of becoming a hybrid company. Everyone at Accedia, regardless of their location, is brought into the life at the company, joining either team building get togethers, hybrid or fully remote online events such as quarterly company updates, coffee meetups or digital competitions. Accedia Innovation Development Center (IDC) now in its 10th season, remains a distinguishing feature of the company, with more than 25% of the team focused on building AI-engineered solutions.
The judges' feedback singled out Accedia's evidence-led approach: culture backed by data, not narrative. The company made it onto the ranking for demonstrating rather than describing how values show up in onboarding satisfaction scores, development plan completion rates, engagement figures, and leadership visibility metrics. The judges highlighted that level of rigour in connecting people practice to measurable outcomes as highly distinctive.
Accedia also competed in one of the most brand-heavy sectors in the list. Science & Technology includes companies with global recognition and significantly larger headcounts. We also ranked higher than all other medium-sized tech companies on the list across Europe!
" Being placed in the Top 30 across Europe matters because it reflects how our team experiences working here. The data behind this award comes from our people: their feedback, their participation, their development plans."
— Plamen Koychev, Managing Partner and Technology & Talent Lead
