Zurich hosted the first bilateral Swiss-Bulgarian BPO & ITO forum on 10th March 2016.
The event was co-organized by the Bulgarian Embassy in Switzerland and the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association, and gathered a number of Bulgarian representative companies from the sector together with Swiss financial, logistics and IT organisations, interested in learning more about the country and establishing partnerships.
The forum was opened with speeches by the ambassador H.E. Dr. Meglena Plugtschieva and the deputy prime minister of Bulgaria, H.E. Ivailo Kalfin, both of whom emphasized the particular advantages of our economy and culture of doing business, and expressed their decisiveness to help organize more events of such kind and strengthen interrelationships. The floor was also given to representatives from the Bulgarian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and the Outsourcing Association, who outlined the facts and figures behind the ever improving economic performance of our economy, in particular the IT & BPO sector.
Following were a few company presentations, among which Accedia distinguished itself as a leading service provider in the area of Software Development Outsourcing. We had the opportunity to give an overview of our background and fields of expertise and support that by presenting a few of our flagship projects. They were the base for a lively discussion afterwards which brought to live a better picture of the professionalism of Bulgarian companies and many ideas for future collaboration. We managed to establish a lot of new connections and we will collaborate to develop them from now on.
